In continuation with the Nationwide IEC Campaign and Benefit Saturation Activities under 'Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan', the District Administration and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Shamator under Mission Shakti, Department of Social Welfare, Nagaland conducted an outreach activity at Rürür Village, Shamator on 27th June 2025 and Sikiur Village on 28th June 2025.
This outreach activity focused mainly on adolescent girls and women including pregnant and lactating mothers. Awareness on one's own safety of health and hygiene was given to the adolescent girls and women and free sanitary pads, diapers and Horlicks, a nutritional drink, were also distributed. Schemes on PMMVY(Pradhan Mantri Mantru Vandana Yojana) registration was also assisted to the pregnant and lactating mothers by letting them know the criteria like eligible beneficiaries and the documents that are required
A visit to Anganwadi Centres to monitor and support early childhood development services was also conducted.
