It was brought to the attention of DEO Longleng that some Candidates were engaged in unauthorized campaigning or rallies and had not adhered to the prescribed schedule for camping events. All the candidates were reminded to seek permission from the returning officer before holding campaign events. Failure to do so may result in penalties or other consequences.

DEO has strongly urged all candidates to thoroughly acquaint themselves with the regulations and guidelines for campaign events in the election and to comply with them strictly. Any candidates who violate these rules by engaging in unauthorized campaigning or rallies will be issued warnings and may face sanctions. All candidates are to demonstrate a high level of responsibility and respect for the rules of this Election.

All candidates are required to strictly adhere to the Model Code of Conduct noncompliance will not be tolerated, and any serious violation will result in immediate disqualification from the Election as it poses a severe threat to the integrity of the entire process, DEO stated.
