District level orientation programme on 'Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan' campaign was held on 15th September, 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima.
Speaking at the programme, DC, Chumoukedima, Polan John, NCS said that this orientation programme is a new initiative by the GoI, a nationwide campaign to institutionalise responsive governance last-mile service delivery in tribal areas through participatory planning and inter-departmental convergence. He highlighted different schemes under each department and pointed out that, it's an exercise to disseminate the activities and services to tribal communities.
He stated that, the main aim is to build a Viksit Bharat through a cadre of 20 lakhs committed change leaders- 1 lakh tribal committed villages, across 30 States & union territories in 550 districts and 3000 blocks to uplift 10.5 crore tribal citizens in India. He mentioned that through this program, every tribal household in Nagaland will have access to housing, clean water, solar, healthcare, education, skill development, Financial schemes, SHGs and digital connectivity.
Further, informed that, at the State level Tribal Affairs department is the Nodal officer and 17 line departments are involved headed by the Deputy Commissioner. At the Chumoukedima district, there are 3 blocks and 46 villages and with the initiative of the Block level Master Trainers, they will organise an orientation programme in all villages from 15th to 18th October, the idea being to bring village vision and action plan. He urged all the concerned departments to identify, collaborate and take forward this action plan for a successful implementation.
Brief highlights on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan were also presented by SDO (C), Shreyansee Jain, IAS & EAC, Chumoukedima, Seyie Pfukri. While PowerPoint presentations were presented by Master Trainers, where he highlighted the vision, objectives and expected outcomes of 'Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan'.
All the concerned line departments, CSOs, and Area Administrative officers led by the District Master Trainers attended the program.
