The Indian Council for Child Welfare gives ICCW National Bravery Awards for exemplary acts of bravery to children every year. These Awards have been given by ICCW for the past 66 years. ICCW receives recommendations from various sources for the Awards. However, there could be numerous deserving cases that still go unreported.
The details of the scheme and nomination form for the 2023 Awards are available on their website www.iccw.co.in. The main criteria for the selection of candidates is the performance of a distinct and visible act of bravery in the face of an impending threat of injury or danger to life or an act of courage and daring against a social evil/crime. Anybody may go through the contents of the scheme as well as the instructions on the application form carefully before sending the applications. A copy of the application may be endorsed to the respective State/UT Council for Child Welfare of the State.
The recommendations, complete in all respects, should reach Indian Council for Child Welfare, 4 Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi-110002 by October 15, 2023.
