The 77th Independence Day celebration took place at Aghunato Town with G. Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor for Land Resources, presiding as the special guest. The event unfolded at the public ground and included the hoisting of the national flag, a salute to the nation, and the reading of the Independence Day speech by Advisor Zhimomi.

Following the speech, the special guest led the attendees in reciting the Pledge for Drug-Free Nagaland. The celebration was enriched by captivating cultural dances and presentations by students from various schools.

Advisor Zhimomi inaugurated exhibition stalls as part of the festivities and proceeded to the Police Station to launch the installation of CCTV cameras. The program witnessed a significant turnout of the public.
