KMC Administrator Kovi Meyase has reminded the general public of Kohima town that the use of face masks and social distancing is mandatory and also spitting in public places is strictly prohibited during this hour of pandemic. 

Therefore, any individual found violating this norms will be penalized as mentioned below: 

1. Spitting in public places. 
   1. Rs. 100/- first instance 
   2. Rs. 200/- Second instance 
   3. As per MHA guidelines, violation will be punishable under Disaster Management Act Section 51(b).
2. Not Wearing Face Mask.
   1. Rs. 100/- first instance 
   2. 2. Rs. 200/- Second instance 
   3. As per MHA guidelines, violation will be punishable under Disaster Management Act Section 51(b).
3. Failure to follow social distancing;
   1. Rs. 100/- first instance 
   2. Rs. 200/- Second instance 
   3. As per MHA guidelines, violation will be punishable under Disaster Management Act Section 51(b).
