Due to incessant rain on 19th July 2026, it has been reported that the district is currently cut off from all side: Longleng - Changtongya, Longleng - Tuensang, Longleng - Aboi, Tamul - Merangkong and Tamlu - Wakching. As per the damaged report, the district has witnessed landslides, Mudslide, and Flash floods causing damage to Property/Plantation/Farm, and road infrastructure. However, no loss of life was reported.

            The District Administration, DDMA and PWD (R&B) Longleng are in the process of clearing the roads.
