DC & DEO Phek Kumar Ramnikant IAS in his press note appealed to the citizens of Phek District that the time has come for the biggest festival of Democracy as the election to the 14th NLA will be held on 27th February 2023.

The press note stated “as this is a rare opportunity that comes once in five years' time, I as Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Phek would like to appeal to the citizens of Phek to take voting opportunity and come out and vote positively on that day.

It is time to show that power trully rests in the hands of the people to choose, a government for the people, of the people and by the people." 

DC & DEO said that he strongly urged upon the citizens of Phek not to sell their voting rights.

The press note also said that there will be separate queue for the differently-abled, senior citizens (above 80 years old) and the pregnant women during polling day on 27th February 2023 for which citizens have been requested to respect that queue and show their support to them during voting. It said that voting will start from 7:00 AM and will end up by 4:00 PM.  

Electors are also informed to identify their polling stations in advance with the help of Booth Level Officers.
