Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Tuensang, Nokchasashi issued order basing under section 126 of the Representation of the People Act 1951 prohibited meetings during the period of forty eight hours ending with hours for the conclusive poll. In the interest of the of free and fair election and in exercise of power conferred under section 144 CrPC read with section 126 of the Representation of the People Act 1951 Deputy Commissioner as District magistrate and District Election Officer Tuensang prohibited holding of any unlawful assemblies, political rallies, meeting in connection with election and assembly of more than five people in the area. This order is extended to all the area under Tuensang District for the election purposes which will come into force with immediate effect from 4:00 PM of 25th February 2023 and will remain in force till hour fixed for the conclusive poll.

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Tuensang also directed that all the political functionaries / campaign functionaries etc who have been brought from outside the constituency and who are not voters of the constituency should not continue to remain present in the constituency during the period of forty eight hours ending with hours fixed for the conclusive of poll. All such functionaries are directed to leave the constituency immediately after the campaign period is over.  

And in another order DC and DEO Tuensang also prohibit the inter polling stations/ Assembly constituency movement of private vehicles under Tuensang District on the poll day i.e. 27th February 2023 from 7:00AM to 4:00 PM. Further the contesting candidates will be entitled to use three vehicles only w.e.f from 25th February to 27th February 2023. In this regard contesting candidates are also directed to get a written permission order from the office of the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Tuensang through the respective Returning Officers, all the vehicle exemption order issued earlier by DEO and Returning Officers shall stand cancelled w.e.f 25th February 2023. The aforementioned restriction shall be applied to all the vehicle except those vehicle requisitioned for the election duty viz, District Administration, Police, CAPF, Polling personnel on election duty, Medical department & Departments exempted by Election Commission of India (ECI). Medical exigencies and other emergencies shall be permitted only after taking prior permission from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Tuensang
