DC & DEO Peren, Vineet Kumar has informed all concerned that as the campaigning period for the General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 is about to end, the vigilance through FST and SST has been increased. Hence, anybody carrying cash exceeding Rs. 50,000/- should also carry all supporting documents along with it. Further, the DC & DEO has again reiterated that bribing or cases of threat/intimidation of electors are not only electoral offenses but also punishable under Indian Penal Code. Therefore, everybody should refrain from such activities, and knowledge of any such incident should be reported forthwith.
