Because of heavy traffic congestion in and around Kohima Town, especially during the peak hours, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C has issued an Order informing the general public that entry of heavy goods vehicles (trucks/ dumpers) in Kohima Town is strictly prohibited from 6:00 AM till 7:00 PM.

The order further stated that all permits issued to private and Government vehicles (trucks/dumpers) from this Office to ply within the restricted hours stand canceled and informed that violation of this order will invite stern penalty under relevant provisions of the law.
