In response to multiple landslides caused by heavy monsoon rains and the potential for further landslides, a total restriction on the movement of all kinds of vehicles, including Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs), along the Longleng-Changtongya Road has been imposed for a period of thirty-six (36) hours. The restriction will be in effect from 23rd July 2023 (Sunday) 6 A.M. until 24th July 2023 (Monday) 6 P.M.

Travelers have been strongly advised to avoid taking the aforementioned route during this period and are encouraged to use the alternative route: Longleng - Chingtok (IR Camp) Netnyu - Merangkong.
