Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan, K, IAS has notified that the World Vision Mon ADP on 19th May 2020 handed over 190 Nos of PPEs to the Chief Medical Officer, Mon for distribution to the Doctors and Frontline Health Workers at the District Hospital, CHCs and PHCs across the District. The PPEs are made of laminated PP spun bond fabric of 90 GSM and have been certified by the South India Textile Research Association (SITRA). SITRA is a centre of Excellence for Medical Textiles. 50 more PPEs are in transit and would be handed over to the Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Mon soon.

The COVID-19 District Task Force, Mon has conveyed its gratitude and deep appreciation to the World Vision Mon ADP for their kind gesture.

In another order the Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan, K, IAS has notified that there can be possible instances where people may break the Quarantine Protocol and venture out from the Quarantine Facility. This would constitute a serious case of non-compliance with the directives notified by the Government.

Therefore, all Quarantined Persons and their family members have been informed that non-compliance with the Quarantine Protocol will attract stringent penal actions under relevant provisions of the Law.
