The Wokha District Legal Service Authority (WDLSA) organized a walkathon for eradication of drug abuse and addiction, child abuse, and gender-based violence from the Deputy Commissioner's Office to the District Court Wokha on 26th November 2024. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, Renbomo Ezung, NCS flagged off the walkathon and spoke about the legal awareness of certain rights and duties of citizens.

In her keynote address, the District and Session Judge of WDLSA, Nino Iralu, highlighted the impact of drug victims and abuse on society. She emphasized the importance and responsibilities of citizens, civil societies and the judiciary working together to eradicate social problems in the district.

DPO, Mission Shakti, N Ekonthung Kikon gave a short speech on various problems in the current society, including human trafficking, cybercrime, and equitable gender roles. The program was attended by stakeholders from various departments.
