The Directorate of School Education has in a notification informed all school authorities, both government and private, that Aadhaar has become mandatory for availing government schemes such as stipends, scholarships, APAAR ID, Student PEN in UDISE+, etc.

In view of the above, it is important that school authorities identify school children without Aadhaar cards and prioritize their enrollment to avoid any disruption in the benefits provided by these government schemes. Ensuring that all children have an Aadhaar card will facilitate the seamless implementation of these schemes and help students access the necessary financial aid and resources for their education.

It should be noted that the UIDAI, Government of India, has authorized the Department of School Education to conduct Aadhaarenrollment of school children at the block level, making the facility easily accessible to the community. Most of the Educational Block Research Centres (EBRCs) in the state are equipped with Aadhaarenrollment kits for the convenience of school children.

Furthermore, schools are advised to utilize the facilities at EBRCs and organize enrollment camps within school premises to support the Aadhaar registration process. This proactive approach will ensure that all eligible students are covered and provide convenience to parents and guardians in completing the registration process.
