Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner's conference hall, Zunheboto on 10th Feb, 2025 under the chairmanship of MLA & chairman DPDB, Zunheboto, Er. Picto Shohe.

The meeting began with the introduction of its new board members followed with the review of previous meeting minutes.

While addressing the meeting, Picto Shohe appealed to all the responsible HoDs to continue to serve the district with sincerity and be as attentive as possible to the board meeting, Picto further requested its members to be vigil in development aspects towards Atoizu while highlighting that Atoizu is till date without bus services though being one of the earliest subdivisions in the state. He further appealed to the concerned departments for improvement of roadways in the area keeping in mind the presence of Khelhoshe Politechnic at Asukuto town.

The President ZRSU expressed his concern regarding poor attendance of some of the officials in the district during their survey in the offices.  The President appealed to all HoDs to be stationed to their respective place of posting for the welfare of the district. The lack of sincerity by some HoDs was of grave concern and needs to be addressed at the earliest, he added.

Further, discussing on an agenda submitted by the chairman for creation of AHO/Horticulture office at Atoizu, where the land for establishment of the office is already donated but the office is yet to be processed, the board members after deliberation forwarded the applications for creation of AHO at Atoizu, and maintenance of roads from Asukuto-Akuluto via Khitsakita for further procedures.

 Later, the EE, Power Department presented his departmental activities through PowerPoint Presentation. The Chief Veterinary officer was entrusted to present the departmental activities in the upcoming March DPDB meeting.
