After an emphatic 5-0 win over Khaibung Youth & Students' Union (KYSU) in the final match held at Medziphema Local Ground on 11th April, 2025, the Medziphema FC emerged victorious as the champions of the 9th edition of Frolic Cup 2025

Following their strong semifinal win, Medziphema FC once again showcased dominance and resilience to lift the trophy on home turf. The match began with early pressure from KYSU, whose aggressive attacks kept the MFC defense on high alert. Despite their pace and clever build-ups, the KYSU forwards were unable to break through, with MFC's defender standing firm.

The breakthrough came in the 26th minute when a miscalculated back pass by KYSU was swiftly intercepted by Kenumdi, who made no mistake in slotting the ball into the net. Just a minute later, Sentilong unleashed a thunderous shot from outside the box, doubling the lead and shifting the momentum firmly in MFC’s favor.

As the second half commenced, MFC forwards continued to trouble KYSU's defense with quick and precise passing. In the 60th minute, Kenumdi struck again, tapping in a rebound following a powerful attempt by Manton. Manton then added his name to the score sheet in the 63rd minute, before Kakhevi sealed the game with a fifth goal in the 69th minute.

Despite the heavy scoreline, KYSU fought bravely, launching several attacks, but they were unable to capitalize on key opportunities leading to 5 goals to nil.
