The monthly meeting of the Mon District Planning & Development Board for the month of May 2025 was held on 16th May 2025 at the DRDA Conference Hall. The new Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, NCS, who presided over the proceeding, introduced himself to the members and welcomed the members present, especially acknowledging the new DPDB Chairman, MLA, Mankhao Konyak.  He called upon the new members for self-introduction, i.e., Er. Chingshen C Phom, Asst. Engineer CAWD and Relise Sangtam, ADC, Tizit

The meeting began with a review of the last meeting's minutes.  SDO Civil Mon, Ajit Kumar, IAS, gave a brief introduction of Mon Smart Hub.

The house discussed the establishment of JNV at Aboi Hq. and decided to recommend to the government for approval.

District Education Officer, Mon elaborated on the proposal of recognition of Emanuel School at Nokzang Village under SDEO Tizit, changing of school nomenclature from Little Flower School to Kano Academy, Tizit, shifting of SDEO Tizit Office based at Mon Headquarters to Tizit Town, provisional recognition and upgradation of Goodwill School, Mon to Class VIII.  Up-gradation of Police Mission School, Tizit to Class VIII. SDO (C) Chen gave a brief explanation on the proposal for the upgradation of St. John School to Class VIII at Chen town. The Board, after deliberation, recommend to the government for approval.

Executive Engineer, Er. C. Chinglang Konyak gave a brief note on the PWD(R&B) office building. He informed that the building was constructed in the 1970s, and it's more than 50 years old and emphasised that the building was in a state of deteriorated condition. The Board discussed and recommended to the higher authority.

DPDB Chairman highlighted the expansion of the town, construction of roads, footpaths and bridges in the Town, and the proposal for water supply from Chenmoho Village.

DC Mon has appealed to the officers to be sincere and dutiful in their duties for the welfare of the people.
