The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Kohima held a joint meeting of its Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) and Vidyalaya Advisory Committee (VAC) on 18th September 2025 at the school premises. Chairman of VMC & VAC and Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, attended the meeting.

The session began with an introduction and Vidyalaya Report presented by the Principal, Mahesh Prasad Shivhare. Members discussed several important matters concerning the functioning and development of the institution.

The agenda included issues such as diversion of a village road passing through the campus, increasing the height of the boundary wall, and addressing student safety and security concerns due to the lack of security guards. The committees also reviewed preparations for JNVST-2026 and LEST-2026, budget and fund utilization, and continuation of the Vidyalaya Visiting Doctor facility. Miscellaneous matters related to school management were also deliberated.

A cultural programme was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Kohima following the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting. The event showcased the talents of students through a series of musical and dance performances.

The programme began with a welcome song presented by students of Class XII Humanities, followed by a welcome speech from PGT (Economics), S. Atheni. It was followed by presentation of group songs and folk dances.

A prize distribution ceremony was also held to felicitate students for their achievements in PWT-II and UT-II Examinations. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by PGT (History), Kiran Lalboi. Lunjimgin Neishiel and Farida were the hosts of the programme.
