Advisor, IPR and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L Imchen visited Chungtia, Aliba villages and Sapangya Compound on 5th November 2025.

            Interacting with the Chungtia village council members and elders, in connection with the upcoming Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) General conference which is scheduled to be held at Chungtia village from 12th to 15th January 2026, Imkong L Imchen said though he is a native of Mangmetong village, he always hold the people of Chungtia village dear in his heart, and assured that he would support and contribute in every way possible to ensure that the AKM General Conference at Chungtia village is held successfully.

            The Advisor also mentioned his heartfelt gratitude towards the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr. Neiphiu Rio for his strong consent by extending and allocating funds from Other Roads Fund for repairing of roads at Chungtia village which is a part of the preparation for the upcoming AKM General Conference.

            Imkong appealed to the village council members and citizens of Chungtia village to support and cooperate with the concerned department so that the repair work could be implemented judiciously and completed on time.

            The Advisor also visited the landslide area at Chungtia village where more than twenty residential buildings were damaged due to heavy rainfall during the monsoon.

            The Chairman of the Chungtia village, Assamwati Longchar in his speech thanked the Advisor for his constant support and generosity towards the village. He also said that at times there may be differences but the citizens of Chungtia village always regard Imkong L Imchen as the guardian and anvil of Chungtia village.

            The Chairman on behalf of the citizens of Chungtia village thanked the Chief Minister of Nagaland, the Advisor and the concerned department for their tremendous support in development of the village.

            Later on the day, the Advisor also visited Sapangya Compound and Aliba village where he interacted with the village council members.
