The closing programme of the first phase of the seven-day Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers Training was held at the Conference Hall of the District Commandant Office, Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF, Kohima on 24th November 2025.
The programme marked the culmination of an intensive week-long training that involved 200 trainees, focusing on disaster preparedness, emergency response, community safety and resilience-building. Over the course of the training, participants were equipped with essential skills in incident management, fire safety, first aid, search and rescue operations and various mitigation measures aimed at enhancing their capacity to respond effectively to both natural and man-made disasters.
