The District Hub for Empowerment of Women, under the aegis of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), organized a significant programme at Nikhekhu Village, Niuland, on 25th November 2025, to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which is taking place from November 25 to December 10.

The event was a crucial step in raising awareness about the importance of eliminating violence against women and promoting gender equality. A gathering of 50 enthusiastic youth participants attended the programme, demonstrating their keen interest in the cause. Kelengunuo Solo, EAC, graced the occasion as the keynote speaker, shedding light on the theme and emphasizing the need for collective action to address this pressing issue.
