22-year-old Tsukian Lamheing was crowned Miss Khiamniungan 2026 in a beauty pageant organised by the Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam (Khiamniungan Women Organization) during Khaozaosie - Hok-Ah cum Mini Hornbill festival 2026 held at EAC Headquarters Nokhu, Noklak on 19th January 2026, under the theme “Elegance Re-defined”. The winner also won the Best Ethnic Modern Wear title and walked away with a cash prize of ₹30,000 and gift hampers.
Songmo Khiamniungan was declared the First Runner-up, while Tainiu secured the Second Runner-up position.
In her final answer on the theme “Elegance Re-defined,” Tsukian Lamheing expressed that elegance transcends physical appearance and that, in today’s context, elegance is reflected through one’s character and inner values rather than outward beauty alone.
The programme was graced by Er. Khaoshai Lam, SDO, PHED, Longkhim as the Special Guest. Reflecting on the quote “A thing of beauty is a joy forever,” he highlighted that true beauty is rooted in reconciliation, understanding, and dedication. He emphasized that beauty is not merely about outward appearance but the embodiment of inner qualities that radiate purpose and responsibility.
Stressing on the role of Miss Khiamniungan, Er. Lam stated that the titleholder is expected to redefine elegance by upholding strong values, serving as a voice for the voiceless, and advocating social awareness. He expressed hope that the newly crowned Miss Khiamniungan would inspire young girls and stand for noble causes, adding that genuine beauty is ultimately reflected in one’s commitment and dedication to duty.
