The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Government of India and MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Dimapur in collaboration with the Department of Industries & Commerce and District Industries Centre (DIC), Tuensang organised a one day awareness workshop under PM Vishwakarma on 11th February 2026 at DRDA Conference Hall, Tuensang.
Inspector DIC Tuensang, Thungdi Chang informed the artisans of various credit Schemes under the Ministry of MSME and the schemes of the State Government. He urged the artisans to avail themselves of the information and seek assistance through DIC Tuensang for support. He also stressed on the PM Vishwakarma and said that it is a Central Sector Schemes aimed at reorganizing and empowering Tradition artisans and craft men across the Country, collectively referred as Vishwakarma. The scheme seek to support those engaged in 18 traditional trade such as Carpentry, Basket Weaving, Blacksmith which are deeply rooted in India's Cultural and occupational Heritage.
Welcome address was delivered by Khumchopi Sangtam, Functional Manager, DIC Tuensang. The program also had an interactive session led by Auching sonla, Area Coordinator, NSRLM, while Tovito, Field officer from SBI Tuensang presented on loan component under PM Vishwakarma.
