A training on Livestock Insurance Scheme for the Para-Veterinarians and the Farmers under NLM 2025-26 was conducted on 15th April 2026 at the Khaokhan Hall, Noklak Town, organised by the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department, Noklak. The training was chaired by L. Chilia Supervisor.

CVO Vice Chairman Noklak, Dr. H. Pamingchuba in his keynote address stated that the scheme will be implemented in collaboration with the National Insurance Company Limited with the aim to give financial protection to animal owners by insuring their animals. The scheme will also assist livestock owners against death, loss, or damage from specific risk. Pamingchuba encouraged livestock farmers to avail the scheme to protect their losses.

The insights of Livestock Insurance Scheme regulations, claim documents, financial security,
benefits and risk factors and the detail procedures of this scheme was presented by VAS & District Nodal Officer Dr. H. Puchaiu, the resource person for the Livestock Insurance Scheme Noklak. The farmers/participants actively participated in the interactive session and clarified their doubts satisfactorily. The vote of thanks was delivered by Khuming Supervisors, and culminated with a benediction pronounced by Longshen, Progressive Farmer, Noklak.
