The Indian Red Cross Society Kiphire District Branch observed the World Red Cross Day on 8th May 2026 at DPDB Hall, Kiphire. The programme was graced by Longdiba L Sangtam, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire as the special guest.

While acknowledging the initiative undertaken by the volunteers in the district, the special guest encouraged the local resident to join the movement and revamp the society for the cause of humanity.

The resource person, Sentiwapang, NPS, SDPO, Kiphire delivered a short speech on road safety and traffic rules, while Tsointhe Sangtam, Honorary Secretary, IRCS, Kiphire spoke on the significance of the day. Ther attendees include members from Taxi Drivers Union (Two and Four Wheelers) Kiphire Town, J/YRC GHS Yangphi, and Administrative Officers. Earlier, Seroba, Youth Pastor KTBL pronounced the invocation prayer.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Thsaropi Sangtam, Office Assistant, IRCS Kiphire.
