The inaugural programme of Teaching Aids/IT Equipment (All in one PC/Interactive Smart Boards/PA Lectern System) contributed by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiative to Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung was held on 8th July 2026 at the college premises. Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer graced the occasion as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, Longkumer expressed gratitude to BPCL for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in providing equipment to the institution, stating that the support would significantly strengthen the teaching and learning process for both faculty and students.
He said CSR is an important responsibility through which public sector undertakings (PSUs) contribute to the welfare and development of society across various sectors. Encouraging the students, he stressed that as literacy rate has increase much in today’s context, academic excellence must be complemented with life skills to prepare young people for meaningful participation in Nation-building.
Longkumer also urged the institution to ensure proper maintenance and optimum utilization of the equipment so that it benefits both present and future generation of students.
During the programme, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Ajet Kumar Verma, IAS, Abishek Paul, Manager Sales, Nagaland and Manipur BPCL, and Dr. I. Wati Imchen, Principal FAC delivered shorts speech acknowledging the contribution toward better academic excellences.
The programme was chaired by Dr. E. Benrithung Patton, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, who also proposed the welcome address. The benediction and dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Associate Pastor (W), Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church.
