The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Longleng held an emergency meeting on 24th July 2026, at DC's conference hall Longleng, EAC Yachem, C. Tsalimse Sangtam, chaired the meeting.

In the meeting the chairman entrusted all HoDs under DDMA to verify the detailed damage property, livestock and houses in every village and fill the format provided by the Home Department.

The chairman also informed the house that the DDMA has setup a District Emergency Control Room at DC office and urged all HoDs to report of any casualties.

He also informed the house that the restoration of road connectivity will take two to three weeks, fuel and other essential commodities are also limited. He also informed the officers to make sure to limit the use of the scarce resources until the roads are restored and make known to their respective departments.
