DISHA Mon Organized Mon District Red Run 2026, under the aegis of the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) at Local Ground, Mon on 31st July 2026. The event was open to all interested participants between the ages of 17 and 25 (10 kms) of both Male and Female categories, with the theme "Every Step Counts Against HIV & STIs". The primary objective of this awareness run was to engage the youth, promote a healthy lifestyle, and spread a strong public message against HIV/AIDS and STIs.
Chief Medical Officer, Mon, Dr. Supongmenla Walling, graced the programme as a special guest. She acknowledged and congratulated all the runners for their participation and mentioned that HIV can be prevented, managed with modern medicine, and there is a need to end social stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. She flagged off the Red Run at the local ground.
The programme was chaired by Longyim Tzudir, DPO, DISHA, Mon. Althoughter 87 participants took part. The winners in the boys category were Wangtho C: First position, Manbo Konyak and Longpa Konyak second and third respectively, and in the girls category: Ngonyun Konyak, Hana Konyak and Leingam Konyak, first, second and third position respectively.
