The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at Public Ground, Satakha on August 15, 2026. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag and Rashtriya Salute by ADC Satakha followed by the National song and National Anthem. A march-past by various parade contingents was also held as part of the celebration.

The programme featured a range of cultural and sporting activities. while a tug-of-war was organised between Town GBs and Satakha Town Council. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the march-past and tug-of-war competitions.

The ADC Satakha also inaugurated exhibition-cum-sale stalls put up by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and the 111 Bn. BSF, Satakha, providing an opportunity to showcase local products and initiatives.

As part of the day's outreach activities, officers from Satakha and the Medical team visited the Children's Home, Satakha.

The day's celebrations concluded with the Beating of Retreat by the 111th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), Satakha.
