Tuensang District Planning & Development Board meeting cum Annual Picnic was held at Konya Village, Tuensang on 19th November 2025 under the Chairmanship of P. Bashang Mongba Chang, Minister for Housing & Mechanical (PWD) and Chairman DPDB Tuensang.

            After reviewing the last meeting minutes the board discussed on the nomenclature change of St. Xavier School to Langba Academy and was approved by the board. The board also discussed on the Maintenance of BRO Road in Tuensang Town. In this regard, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang highlighted about a joint meeting to be held with tribal bodies and the Department along NH 202 in the days to come.

            Earlier in the morning, Minister Bashang Mongba inaugurated Sikai Water Body construction under PMKSY-HKKY by Water Resources Department. Er. Chingmak, WRD Tuensang highlighted the activities of the department, and stated that the water shed project has been taken up by the department and the first phase has been completed successfully. He also urged the line Department like fisheries, Forest and Tourism to take initiative and come forward in making Sikai Water Body a Tourist Spot. The board welcome Purnusang Longkumer, District Transport Officer to its member.
