Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, informed that due to incessant rainfall and inclement weather conditions causing landslides, mudslides, and rock falls resulting in roadblocks and damage to roads/properties and considering the recent sinking/damage of NH-702 stretch between Mon village junction and Yaling area, the aforementioned stretch of NH-702  is closed for all vehicular movement until further order. Therefore, all light motor vehicles plying through NH-702 have been directed to take the alternate route through Mon Village By-pass road. However, considering the fragile nature of the alternate route, the movement of all heavy vehicles (both Commercial and Passenger) shall be restricted to use this particular By-Pass road until further orders.
