The 5th Wokha District Inter-Departmental Badminton & Table Tennis Open Championship 2022 culminated on 14th April 2002 held at Indoor Badminton Stadium, GHSS Wokha. The closing ceremony was graced by Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Sports Council, Wokha Orenthung Lotha as the special guest.

Speaking during the closing session, the DC, lauded all the Head of Offices, participants and the employees for their active participation, and he stated such kind of championship will be made an annual event starting from this year. Organising such events, was to let the employees take part in different sporting discipline is to make their mind free, and to create a stress free atmosphere and further added such kind of event will act as a recreation activities for the employees, as the employees have occupational hazards and a making this event a successful one.

Altogether, 96 players took part in the championship. The winners were awarded with cash and certificates. Certificates were also awarded to all the semi-finalist. The awards were handed over by the Deputy Commissioner.
