Inter-state cultural exchange program for DAB Sector A and B was held at Naukhuti School playground on 29th March 2022. Organized by the District Administration in collaboration with 155 Bn CRPF Neutral Force Assam and Nagaland Border (Sect A & B) DAB the program started with the release of helium balloons in the colors white and blue displaying the spirit of peace and friendship.
DC Niuand, Ajit Kumar Verma IAS in his short speech encouraged the gathering for developing peace, mutual coexistence, and cooperation to work towards the betterment of the people living in the area. Noting that different states may have different administrative setups and different opinions might arise, Ajit stressed the importance of exchanging distinct cultures, ideas, and values for peaceful coexistence.
Speeches were also delivered by DIGP CRPF, SDO (C) Sarupathar, President Aghunaqa Kukami Hoho, and Convenor, Border Peace Committee. Imlijungla Lemtur EAC and her counterpart from Assam felicitated the dignitaries. A cultural exchange competition comprising thirteen groups displayed traditional fire-making demonstrations, cultural Naga dance, Bihu, Jhumur showcasing the various culture of the people living in the area. The cultural troupe was from Pihekhu and Bihu dance from the Sarupathar team.
Hosts of dignitaries from both the States and the public attended the cultural exchange program.
