Organised by Tening Town Youth Organization, the closing ceremony of the 1st Inter Ward Football League Tournament was held at Tening local ground on 4th September 2022. The event was grace by Commissioner & Secretary (Retd), Benjamin Newmai as the special guest.

Benjamin Newmai speaking during the closing ceremony exhorted the gathering by saying that the tournament was organised with the objective to promote and to provide a platform for all the young football players in the area. He encouraged the players to focus on their skills and talents and bring entertainment to the people. Newmai also stated that it is a vision to promote fitness culture and health awareness to eradicate the practice of using unwanted substance among the youngsters and provide opportunities to players to play at the higher levels. He also spoke on the importance of education and said that without education, nobody can gain quality career in any field.

President TTYYO, Kaibakam delivered the presidential address. All the wards of Tening Town participated in the tournament. In the final match, Ward 3 defeated Ward 4 and lifted the championship trophy.
