It was observed at GB's Hall, Peren Town on 1st October under the theme.

Special Guest, ADC Peren, Keyirangding Hegui acknowledged and encouraged the elderly people for their contribution to imparting the social values which is much needed for the younger generation.

During the programme, two distinguished senior citizens namely-Dineu Ndang (85 years) and Wepenyi-U Ndang (90 years) from Peren district were selected and awarded by the Social Welfare Department in recognition of their contribution to society.

The programme began with an invocation prayer said by AWW, Akangna, followed by a special song presented by Anganwadi Workers & Helpers, Peren project, while a message on life experiences was shared by, Apeuna Iheilung.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by DPO/DWO Peren, Tsungrosongla, while a vote of thanks was proposed by CDPO Tening, Yanbeni.
