Mon District Administration in collaboration with KNSK organised the International Women's Day Celebration on 8th March 2022 at Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) Office, Mon. The theme of the event was, "Gender Equality Today For Sustainable Tomorrow".

The event started with a marathon race themed, "Race for Equality", which was flagged off by President KNSK, Ponglem. Pongjem from Shamnyu Ward emerged victorious while Ngipsho and Ngonai bagged the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. 

At the programme, special invitee SDO (C) Sadar Mon, Lithrila Sangtam, NCS encouraged the women to take up more decision making roles from within their families and to have an opinion. She urged the women to avoid having the victim mentality or to think they are inferior to men but to rather believe in their own potentials and capabilities. 

Former Vice President KNSK, Rebeka as the guest speaker, highlighted the various hardships and problems that they faced while working for the welfare of the womenfolk in Mon and Nagaland. While delivering a thorough speech on gender equality today for sustainable tomorrow, she highlighted all the challenges and issues face by women in every aspect of life. 

The programme was chaired by Yangao Konyak and the welcome note was delivered by President KNSK, Ponglem.  Vote of thanks was delivered by Y. Martha.
