NAGALAND CIVIL SECRETARIAT KOHIMA:
The 11th International Yoga Day was celebrated with AHoDs and HoDs led by Chief Secretary, Dr. J Alam, IAS held at the Central Lobby of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on 21st June 2025.
The event was jointly organised by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, National Ayush Mission Nagaland and Youth Resources and Sports Nagaland with the theme of 2025 ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health'.
Aligning with the year’s theme, the concept of the event is to promote environmental sustainability alongside the principles of Yoga. In addition to the Yoga Session observation, it incorporated eco-friendly activities such as Tree plantation and a clean-up campaign, encouraging community-driven environmental efforts.
Trained Yoga instructors from National Ayush Mission, Nagaland, Kelhouzasie Lawrence and Razouvolie Mezhii led the yoga session while the Directorate of Information and Public Relations live-streamed the event.
More than sixty-five participants participated in the event, which included AHoDs and HoDs with officials and staff of various departments from the Secretariat and the Directorate.
