The Home Department of the Government of Nagaland extends an invitation for recommendations for the award of Governor’s Gold Medals and Commendation Certificates on the occasion of Republic Day, 2024 (26th January 2024). Recommendations should be submitted latest by 8th December 2023, following the outlined guidelines:

1.      Detailed information about the recommended candidates should be provided following the format given in Annexure-A. Recommendations/citations should be precise and not exceed one page (A4 size).

2.      Recommendations and citations for Gazetted Officers should be submitted through the concerned Head of Department. The Administrative Head of the Department is required to sign and forward the recommendations/citations to the Special Secretary, Home Department.

3.      The Head of Department for Non-Gazetted Staff shall sign and forward the recommendations/citations directly to the Special Secretary, Home Department.

4.      Recommendations for personnel in Police, Home Guards, Prisons, and Fire Services should be submitted through their respective Director Generals/Heads of the Department.

5.      The recommendations/citations must reach the Special Secretary, Home Department.

6.      Both hard and soft copies of the recommendations/citations, duly signed by the recommending authority, should be forwarded along with the Annexure.

7.      Deputy Commissioners are responsible for submitting recommendations for NGOs, individuals, and employees under their Establishment. The Commissioner, Nagaland, should sign and forward these recommendations to the Special Secretary, Home Department.
