J. ALAM GRACES FONSESA BIENNIAL GENERAL CONFERENCE 2021

The Federation of Nagaland State Engineering Service Associations (FONSESA), Biennial General Conference 2021 was held at Hotel Japfu Kohima on 27th October 2021 with Nagaland Chief Secretary, J. Alam, IAS as the guest speaker.
            Addressing the gathering, Alam said that engineering and medicine discipline are the most attractive profession for ones studies. Calling upon the 500 members of the FONSESA, he said engineers have the brightest mind as they lead to a path of progress and development and that they are the engine that takes us forward to bring change in our life.
Alam also added that the engineers in Nagaland have achieved a lot in their fields as the state have many roads, buildings, bridges which are brought by engineers and called upon them to be have a collective knowledge by working as a team, sharing ideas, find solution and breaking shylocks. He called upon them to be united amongst themselves and follow the rules uniformly   laid by the government and also advised them to keep oneself updated about the latest technology as the world now is moving fast with the advance technology. He also suggested the FONSESA members to give recognition to engineers for their efforts and works.
President (APEN), FONSESA, Er. Moa Aier, in his presidential address said, since its inception in 1985, FONSESA has progressed a lot, and has come a long way. It has been the platform under which the engineering fraternity of the State has always rallied round that has been the beacon which has given hope and direction.  He also said they are grateful to the FONSESA pioneers who felt the need and established this much needed institution for the engineers of the State. He stated that FONSESA is affiliated to the Indian Engineers Federation (INDEF), in which FONSESA is also an active participant.
He added a distinctive sign of maturity and progress of FONSESA is exhibited by the preparation of the constituents respective Vision Documents. The Association of Power Engineers (APEN) was the first to release its Vision Document during the World Engineering Day (WED) on 4th March 2021, the Water Resources Department Engineer Association Nagaland (WRDEAN) and Association of Engineers Directorate of Geology & Mining (AOE DGM).
Aier said the proposed Amendment of the Nagaland Engineering Service Rule 2012 (NESR 2012) too had been another area in which the Association had taken much time to deliberate and discuss.  He added that the work and contributions of several of its members have been given due recognition in terms of Governor's Award during the last few years  and congratulated each one of them, and thanked the Government for the due recognition to the fraternity, many of whom are working against much challenges in the field.
            During the programme Vision Documents were released by Chief Secretary, J. Alam. The programme was chaired by Vice President, FONSESA, Er. K. Hutoi Sema.
