In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Phek District, a Jubilee Marathon is scheduled to take place on 13th December 2023. The marathon will cover a distance of 7 kilometres and is open to participants aged 18 years and above, including both women and men. The event will be held in five locations: Chizami, Chozuba, Meluri, Pfusero, and Phek town.

            ADC Imokokla, in a notification, outlined the key responsibilities of various authorities involved in organizing the event.

            The Coy Commander of F’ Coy 111 Bn BSF has been directed to supervise the mapping of the route and the issuance of tokens. The Senior Medical Officer of CHC Chozuba is tasked with providing ambulance services and first-aid facilities, along with medical practitioners present during the marathon. The Officer-In-Charge of PS Chozuba is responsible for maintaining security and overseeing traffic regulations during the event. Additionally, the General Manager of DIC will be coordinating refreshments for the participants.
