Dr. Cthitü Nienu, the Extra Assistant Commissioner of Chetheba, formally flagged off the Jubilee Marathon as part of the 50 years celebration of Phek district at Zero Point, Chozuba Town on December 13, 2023.

In the women's category, Cekrotalü, Vetuhlü Lohe, and Veyelü Nienu claimed the first, second, and third positions, respectively. For the men, Beduto Ringa, Sapulhù Shijoh, and Mülüsayi Medeo secured the first, second, and third positions. The winners received cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000, and Rs 5,000 for the first, second, and third positions, while five consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 each were also awarded.

The Jubilee Marathon, which started and finished at Zero Point with a turnaround spot at Zaka Lake of Chozuba village, attracted the participation of government officials, sports enthusiasts, and security personnel. Imokokla, Additional Deputy Commissioner, had the honor of presenting the prizes during the prize distribution ceremony.

Sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, the event garnered support from various sectors, with Commandant and Assistant Commandant from the 111 Bn of BSF also participating alongside the competitors.
