Minister for Soil & Water Conservation and Geology & Mining, V. Kashiho Sangtam, called on the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, at his residence in New Delhi on 6thJuly, 2021.

Sangtam had a fruitful discussion with the Union Minister wherein, he apprised the Shekhawat of the flood situation in the State, especially in the plain sector, during monsoon every year due to heavy rainfall.

The Minister also submitted a proposal to the Union Minister for dredging three main rivers in the State during the current Financial Year, to which the Union Minister assured to look into the matter for consideration.
