Khaozaosie Hok-Ah cum Handicraft festival was celebrated on 20th January 2023 at the public ground, Noklak Town with S. Heno, Former Parliamentary Secretary, Government of Nagaland as a special guest which was organized by Khiamniungan Tribal Council in collaboration with Noklak District Handloom & Handicraft Council.

S. Heno stated that for all-round development, peace is paramount important. He mentioned that the Khaozaosie Hok-Ah festival is a time for making peace treaties between villagers and a time for merry-making and sharing meats with neighbors and cousins. Heno appealed to all the Khiamniungan community members to live in unity and peace-loving citizens.

Heno urged upon the tribal leaders, public leaders and elders, DBs and GBs, and Village Elders to serve the people with dedication and work harder for the upliftment of the district. Further, he urged the community to preserve and practice culture and tradition.

Deputy Commissioner, Noklak K. Mhathung Tsanglao stated that the Festival brings unity and urged to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for all-around development. The DC urged the district people to practice the habits of forgiveness and to live in unity. DC mentioned that, through this festival, he wished the people of Khiamniungans to have good health and well-being in the community.

The significance of Khaozaosie Hok-Ah was spoken by Hd. DB, Nokhu EAC Hq. T. Palu and Khiamniungan Tribal Council President M. Thangou said the festival greetings.

Further, S. Heno also inaugurated Handicrafts and Handloom stalls which was followed by a cultural display and dance by Khiamniungan cultural Club Noklak Town and Noklak Town Women Cultural group. Ward-wise Tug-of-War competition was also organized where Danlepdon ward emerged as the winner and the Medical ward won the second position.
