The District Development Coordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held at DC's Conference Hall Kiphire on 28th April 2023.

Member of Parliament Lok Sabha and Chairman DISHA Tokheho Yepthomi highlighted that the DISHA committee was set up to monitor and implement the developmental work activities and also to review the progress of development activities and various schemes in the state. Citing the examples of other neighboring states' development, he said that the works in the State are not satisfactory as many of the departments have not yet completed their projects as per the stipulated time. He encouraged all the HoOs to work with dedication and enthusiasm for the effective implementation of the developmental schemes for the benefit of the people as well as for the upliftment of Kiphire District.

In the meeting, PowerPoint presentations were given by PWD (R& B), Food & Civil Supplies, DRDA, CMO; PHED, DAO (Agriculture), Power, Horticulture, Land Resources, and Social Welfare respectively.

The Department of Food & Civil Supplies highlighted the activities under various schemes and mentioned the PHH & AAY beneficiaries and also the importance of "ONE NATION ONE RATION CARD" (ONOR).

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) presented the facilities providing incentives to the beneficiaries of Mother and Child under JSY/ JSSK schemes. Under JSY (Janani Suraksha Yojana) 23 facilities are conducting institutional deliveries. JSSK (Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram) is mainly available for mothers and infants from the level of PHC and above.

The department of PHED highlighted the different central schemes under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

Under Gramin Mission, the departmental activities include the construction of IHHL, community Sanitary complex, and solid & liquid waste management. Under JJM the department aims to provide drinking water supply to every rural household in adequate quantity of prescribed quality on a regular and long-term basis. Out of 112 Aspirational Districts in India, Kiphire District is ranked 28 position in Jal Jeevan Mission.

The meeting was chaired by EAC, HQ Ane Khieya, and a vote of thanks by Taliyanger PR DRDA.
