Kohima District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of DPDB Chairman, MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro in DPDB's Conference Hall, Kohima on 12th August 2022. The meeting was chaired by ADC Kohima, Rhosietho Nguori.
Various societies presented the aims and objective of their societies for registration where the house decided to recommend the following societies to the government: the Association of Surgeon of Nagaland, New Market Kohima; Nagaland Society of Fine Arts and Employability Midland Kohima and MMB Cyber School Kruoliezou Billy Graham Road Kohima. While for Nagaland Sports Association, Forest colony Kohima and Nagaland Development Board, Naga Bazaar Kohima, the house decided to refer the matter for further clarification and necessary action.
The house also decided to recommend the following schools for up-gradation and recognition:- Up-gradation of GPS (CWSN) to GMS, Lerie colony; opening of Bloom Academy (Pvt) at Upper Chandmari Kohima and Merger of Higher Secondary School of Modern College and Modern Academy into Modern Higher Secondary School.
In the meeting, the ADC reminded the members to note that compulsory attendance will be taken during the celebrations of Independence Day at Secretariat Plaza and the absentees will be viewed seriously. He also reminded them on the usage of banned single used plastic in offices and to participate in the mass social work as per work distribution on Saturday.
PowerPoint presentation on departmental activities was presented by Divisional Forest Officer Kohima, Rajkumar M, IFS. Presentation on NECTAR project was entrusted to District Education Officer, Kohima for the next DPDB meeting.
