Tuluni-The premier festival of Sumi Naga is celebrated to rejoice the most abundant and fruitful season of the year. It is a time to exchange and share and keep the social bond alive and strong in the community.

In Kohima, the festival was celebrated with Minister of Agriculture and Cooperation, Kaito G Aye as the 'Tuluni Papu' which means Tuluni Father on 8th July 2022. The program was organized by the Kohima Sumi Hoho at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.

According to Kaito, the true significance of the Tuluni festival is to love and respect one another and to maintain one's originality and identity. He further encouraged exhibiting one's gifted talent for self-reliance and sustenance in every field.

The highlights of the festival included folk dance performed by Shena Old Cultural Club, a folk song presented by Kenuozou Colony Womenfolks, and a Hoping/Jumping competition (Pùxa kuxuni). The gathering was also enthralled by a special number presented by Pretty Rhythm.

Earlier, the Presidential address was given by Khevito T. Shohe while Vixepu Swu chaired the programme. Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies, Pukhayi Sumi, and dignitaries took part in the celebration.
