Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS issued an order on 1st August 2021 stating that the following relaxations in enforcement of Unlock Phase-IV have been made within Kohima District from 2nd August to 18th August 2021:

1. The timing for opening of all categories of shops will be from 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM on permitted days.
2. The duration of Night Curfew is further reduced and it will be from 08:00 PM to 04:00 A.M.
3. Takeaways/ home delivery outlets will be allowed to open and function on all days except during the curfew hours from 08:00 PM to 04:00 AM.
4. Buses will be allowed to ply with upto 50% occupancy in Kohima district with effect from the date specified by the Home Department in the Detailed SOP and subject to both the driver and attendants (Handyman) fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or should have taken the first dose against COVID-19 and 15 (Fifteen) days should have passed since taking the first dose; and if none of the two aforementioned criteria is fulfilled, then the driver/ attendant (Handyman) should carry a COVID-19 negative test report taken through either RT-PCR/TrueNat or CBNAAT with the swab taken for testing not earlier than 15 (Fifteen) days.
5. Inter-District bus service/taxi service is allowed in Kohima district with effect from the date specified by the Home Department in the Detailed SOP subjected to the condition as mentioned above and in addition the passengers should also be either fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or should have taken the first dose against COVID-19 and 15 (Fifteen) days should have passed since taking the first dose. If none of the two aforementioned criteria is fulfilled, then the passengers should carry a COVID-19 negative test report taken through either RT-PCR/TrueNat or CBNAAT with the swab taken for testing not earlier than 72 hours from the date of travel.
6. Detailed SOP for Para 'iv' and 'v' with the dates when the aforementioned provisions will be effective from shall be intimated as per the Detailed SOP to be issued by the Home Department.
7. It is hereby reiterated that Local Taxis shall be allowed to ply with only 2 (Two) passengers and without any passenger in the front seat within Kohima Municipal area along with plastic barrier/sheet as per Advisory No. GAB-I.COM/GEN-l/2020 (Pt-V) Dated 12.06.2021. However, Local Taxis are not authorised to charge Fares higher than those fixed by the RTA vide Order Dated 06.10.2020. Vaccination status of Local Taxi Driver shall also be prominently displayed in the windshield of the Taxi.

9. All other activities which are otherwise not permitted shall continue to be strictly restricted.

           Any action(s) in contravention with the above stated regulation shall be deemed to have committed an Offence punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
