In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS, on 10th May 2021 ordered the sealing of Konyak Baptist Church Office Building, Mon Town for Forty Eight (48) hours.  

Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable.

In another order, to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC Mon Thavaseelan K IAS on 11th May 2021 ordered the sealing of the following houses in Mon Town:

i) House No.92, Techahan Ward. 

ii) House No.72 Ground Floor, Shantham Ward. 

iii) House No. 121, Shantham Ward. 

iv) House No. 297, Wagiem Ward near Old Telecom Office. 

v) House No. 29(Ground Floor), Shamnyu Ward near KSU Office. 

vi) House No. 118, Chingai Ward. 

The houses will remain sealed till further orders.
