Kiphire District Legal service Authority organised legal seminar in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department at Kiphire on 25th November 2020.
Kunyangli Sangtam P/ lawyer talked on the topic Right to Education, health schemes and foot security Act (FSA). He informed the participants that under the provision of the bill, beneficiaries of the public distribution system (PDS) are entitled to 5 kilograms per month of cereals. The free and compulsory education to all the children of the age of six to fourteen years in such manner should be practice in the present society.
Z.Tsangkhuju Sangtam CDPO Kiphire spoke on the importance of social welfare schemes and informed members to avail the developmental needs and to improve the nutrition and health status of children in the age group of 0- 6 years, pregnant women and lactating mothers. The scheme is self- selecting and universal. Thsapongla FOA, DLSA Kiphire also talked on free legal Aid, role of part legal volunteers and fundamental duties. She also highlighted the importance of eleven fundamental duties.
The programme was chaired by Rebica T.Sangtam P/Asst DLSA Kiphire and Thsathrise PLV addressed the welcome note to the congregation. Altogether 33 participants from eleven wards, and differently able union members attended the programme.
